There are many opportunities for students to gain experience through research and development projects. These are the main on-going research projects in the department. Students may also find that the individual faculty may have smaller research projects, both funded and un-funded, that may be of mutual interest.
Students wishing to join any of these projects should contact the project coordinator (listed below). Projects that are funded to employ students are competitive.

The objective is for our faculty and students to work togther researching software engineering techniques and pedagogy related to those techniques.
Semantic Web Group

The objective for this group is the development of next-generation Semantic Web technology, including information representation, reasoning, indexing, and retrieval.
Embedded Systems Group

An industry outreach and development group whose focus is the development of embedded and realtime systems including microcontroller based devices, FPGAs, and operating systems drivers.
