SU -> CS Dept -> 2005 MidAtlantic Programming Contest Site Information

2005 Mid-Atlantic Regional Competition

The Mid-Atlantic Region includes southern New Jersey, eastern Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Washington DC, Virginia, West Virginia, and North Carolina.

Contest date: November 12, 2005

Registration:

Registration is handled through the main Mid-Atlantic Site, http://midatl.cslab.vt.edu/. Shippensburg will provide space for up to 18 teams.

Computing Environment (not updated for 2004):

Machines available for the contest will (tentatively) be running RedHat Fedora Core 4, and have GCC 4.1, Java 1.5 installed. Available editors will include: vi, vim, (x)emacs, and pico. Debuggers include gdb, xxgdb, and jdb. Shells available include bash, csh, sh, ksh, and zsh. Standard RedHat window managers will be supported, including Gnome, KDE and Twm.
The alternative environment will be a Solaris 10 / Java Desktop environment using Sun Blade 1500 workstations.
Contest submissions will use the PC2 judging software.
